Hawk Manor Falconry was established in 2005 mainly as a resource for falconry and raptor education programs. Since those humble beginnings over five years ago, Hawk Manor has grown substantially and is now dedicated to serving several aspects of falconry including:
Founder and owner, Chip Gentry, is a master class falconer residing in North Carolina. Gentry’s journey to falconry began in the early 90’s when he owned an exotic pet store. During that time, Gentry had the privilege of meeting falconer Ben Gibson. Gentry and Gibson became fast friends. After hunting with Gibson and his birds, Gentry was hooked, and falconry has been a lifelong pursuit ever since. A devoted husband and father to three children, Gentry embodies the values that falconry can instill; the care and relationship of people and animals, awareness of our environment and our duty to protect it for the future.
As a Falconer, Gentry embodies the belief that regardless of the purpose for which the birds are engaged – be it for sport or as a hobby, for education or public health and safety (abatement), a falconer’s number one responsibility is to the birds. Ensuring each bird is flown (hunted) as often as possible and cared for to the best of his abilities is a priority Gentry enjoys fulfilling.
Over the years, Gentry has trained and hunted many species of birds including Red-tailed hawks, Harris’ hawks, and Peregrine falcons. Today, Hawk Manor is home to many birds of prey including:

Sassy, a Red Tail Hawk Bella, the Horned Owl Eli, a remarkable Harris Hawk
